Batteries are processed by separating the plastic, metals and acids. Batteries can either have lead, nickle or alloy metals, and acid. The acid is neutralised before being disposed in accordance with environmental regulations. The plastic is washed and converted into pellets for reuse, and the metals are sorted for further reuse.
